I bot off ebay and seller said it was for a 1981-1982 model 70 hp outboard. I believed at the time my motor was a 1981 as that is the year of my boat. But mine is actually a 1987-1989 motor, so I cannot use it. Please look closely at the pics. Obviously it has been used, but condition is very good for the age. No damage.

There's 2 hooks missing on the latches. I don't see any cracks in the aluminum. The stainless steel looks pretty good. The 60s paint is pretty cool, and all original. These outboards were known as the tower of power.
