Lowrance HDS making Evinrude Engine Management easy!

The Lowrance HDS® maximises the usage of a Evinrude engine management interface, by connecting to the NMEA 2000® network and a Evinrude outboard engine to enable real-time monitoring of crucial engine data. Sounds complicated, to achieve doesn’t it? But this connection is quick and easy, made possible by using just one cable that is attached from your Evinrude engine to the NMEA 2000 network, this then transfers information directly to your Lowrance HDS.

Keeping an eye on fuel rate, engine temperature, oil pressure, system voltage and engine hours, to name but a few features, can help ensure that your boat is not only performing to its full potential, but that engine warnings are heeded with speed and acted upon, ensuring journeys are smooth and trouble-free.

Having engine gauges available to see clearly from a Lowrance HDS can also save the inherent cost of fitting individual display units and once again keep helm clutter to a minimum – particularly on smaller boats and RIBs where space is at a premium. Motorboaters can also benefit from including additional Lowrance HDS units below deck to allow for route planning and engine checks away from the helm.

The engine gauge dashboard can be easily edited on the Lowrance HDS to show the most relevant information for your needs. Adding information to your view such as RPM, alternator voltage, fuel rate or engine alarms for temperature, oil pressure and voltage, can really help with assessing your boat’s needs and help you get the most out of your time on the water.

Fishfinder

Use the fishfinder for a real-time view of baitfish and game fish beneath or to the side of your boat.

Find key fish-holding structure such as rocks, sunken roads and wrecks.

Pinpoint transitions in weed growth and bottom composition, as well as water temperature (thermocline), which often indicate the location of fish.

Chartplotter

Use the chartplotter to reveal your boat’s current location and course on inland, inshore or offshore waters – with the added visual support of depth readings, contours and navigational aids.

Place waypoints on fishing hotspots as well as navigational hazards. Plot courses, follow depth contours or create trails of your boat’s path – all for the peace of mind knowing that you can safely navigate with confidence.

For greater mapping definition, all Lowrance chartplotters are compatible with detailed mapping solutions available on microSD card, such as Lowrance Insight, Fishing HotSpots PRO and Navionics.

This gauge will only work with a NMEA 2000 network.
